Professor Martin Gill is Director of Perpetuity Research and Consultancy International a spin-out company from the University of Leicester. The company specialises in the areas of security management, risk management, crime and crime prevention and has a specialist expertise in financial crime. Martin has published work on crime, security and policing including over 100 journal and magazines articles and 12 books including the Handbook of Security. Martin is a regular speaker at conferences and appears regularly in the media, he has appeared on the BBC Radio 4 ‘Today’ programme, on Radio 5 Live ‘Breakfast Business,’ BBC Watchdog, BBC and independent news channels, and was the advisor to the Channel 4 Dispatches programme on retail theft. Professor Gill is a Fellow of The Security Institute, a member of the Company of Security Professionals (and therefore a Freeman of the City of London), Chair of the ASIS Research Council.
