Peter Graham, Grant Thornton
Peter lead the Grant Thornton team who were the first inspectors appointed under the Dormant Accounts Act 2001 in the Republic of Ireland. His first involvement with dormant accounts was working for two and a half years in Switzerland. He worked for the Independent Committee of Eminent Persons, chaired by Paul A Volcker, in their investigation into dormant bank accounts of Victims of Nazi Persecution in Swiss Banks. He is an experienced investigator and has investigated numerous dubious and contentious matters including an investigation into alleged mishandling of IMF funds by an east European central bank.

Peter Graham, Director, Grant Thornton, led the Grant Thornton team who were the first appointed inspectors chosen by The Financial Regulator following the introduction of the Irish Dormant Accounts Scheme. This session will consider the lesson learnt in Ireland and possible opportunities for the UK.
